1. Eligibility

2. Services

Taxi Engine V1 provides a platform to book taxi rides through our website or mobile application. We connect you with independent drivers who provide transportation services. We are not a transportation provider; we act as an intermediary between you and the drivers.

3. User Accounts

• To book a ride, you may need to create an account with accurate and complete information (e.g. name, phone number, email).
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
• Notify us immediately at us via our contact page if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

4. Booking and Payments

• Ride booking: ride availability is subject to driver acceptance and operational conditions. We do not guarantee ride availability at all times.
• Pricing: fares are displayed at the time of booking and may vary based on distance, time, demand, or additional services. All fares are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Payment: payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers. You agree to pay the fare displayed at the time of booking, including any additional charges (e.g. tolls, waiting time) communicated during the ride.
• Cancellations: cancellation fees may apply if you cancel a ride after a driver has been assigned. Details will be provided at the time of booking. See our Refund Policy for more information.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate pickup and drop-off information.
• Treat drivers and their vehicles with respect.
• Not use the Services for illegal purposes, including transporting prohibited items (e.g. weapons, drugs).
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in India.

6. Driver Responsibilities

• Drivers are independent contractors and not employees of Taxi Engine V1.
• We facilitate ride arrangements but are not liable for the actions, conduct, or quality of service provided by drivers.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Use the Services to harass, abuse, or harm others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt our platform.
• Misrepresent your identity or provide false information.

8. Limitation of Liability

• Taxi Engine V1 is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to delays, accidents, or loss of property.
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific ride in question.
• We are not responsible for events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, traffic conditions, or driver behaviour.

9. Intellectual Property

• All content on our website and app (e.g. logos, text, design) is owned by Taxi Engine V1 or its licensors and protected by copyright and trademark laws.
• You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.

10. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at our discretion, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or for any other reason.
• You may stop using our Services at any time by discontinuing access or deleting your account.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

• These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
• Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
